At MIGS25 I had the pleasure of chatting with Eric Shaw, co-founder and composer at Pixel Audio, to talk about his 12-year journey blending music, technology, and storytelling.

I was able to check out a good number of discussions across the two-day Summit, and these were the highlights of my time there.

MIGS25 was definitely not a PAX or Gamescom. It's a more focused conference devoted to connecting businesses and people in the gaming industry. The access to contacts, studios, publishers, legal advice, and outsourcing partners is a key reason to attend.

'Devil Jam' is a fast-paced but shallow auto battler survivor experience that shows potential but fails to be truly metal.

A review of 'Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch,' a rich, addictive and genuinely fun Roguelite Tactical RPG videogame.

While the music, combat, and exploration were great, I found the thin story held back the full potential for this game to shine, err, shred.

Today I approach a vast reach of desert; the great worm has yet to catch me but this may be the day. I must head across to the ridge I see in the distance; more visions linked to the soul of this planet await.

This sci-fi journey exploring survival, base management, and the ethics and practice of cloning is a fantastic and compelling experience.

Every year when I attend PAX East I look forward to checking out new games, watching some panels and meeting new and old friends.
