While there were many amazing games at PAX East, the darkly weird 'The Last Worker' and surprisingly deep 'Arcade Paradise' were standouts for me.

The fourth and final day of PAX East was full of games, from 'Cursed to Golf' to 'Brick Tales' and 'Asterigos' to 'The Last Hero of Nostalgaia,' all quite different but very fun.

The first day of PAX East had vaccine checks and new logistics as well as some great games like Dolmen, The Last Oricru and Rusted Moss.

Paradoxically, the reduced footprint and lack of major players like Sony and Microsoft made the event feel somehow infinite, with dozens of Independent games giving us great new experiences to discover.

The four-day PAX Online East conference may have been a more subdued event this time around, but there were quite a few interesting panels to check out.

PAX East returns in an online format that's light on content but still provides a worthwhile online gaming conference experience.
