Adam Lambert

Adam Lambert is the runner-up of 2009's season of American Idol, losing that competition in what many thought was a stunning upset to winner Kris Allen.

Adam Lambert had been viewed by many as the odds-on favorite to win American Idol, after stunning viewers and judges alike with his vocal range and flamboyant stage persona, both of which he used to put his own unique stamp on the songs of Tears For Fears, Led Zeppelin, Michael Jackson, Queen and others during the course of the season.

After losing to Allen, rumors surfaced that Queen had in fact offered Adam Lambert a full-time job as their new frontman. More recently, rumors about his sexuality were answered when Lambert "came out" and admitted to being gay in a Rolling Stone interview. Adam Lambert has also signed a record deal with 19 Entertainment/RCA Records.
