In 'The Mutual Admiration Society,' Leslie Kagen takes us into the past and into the life of a family that struggles just as many others of the time do. But she also shows us the often fun hijinks of children as they find ways to enjoy their time away from school and often parental influence.

In "Pearl" by Deidre Riordan Hall, we follow the life and exploits of Pearl Jaeger, a young woman who is on her own and homeless at a time most are dreaming of their first prom. Pearl has grown up with the privilege of having a rock star as a mother, but JJ has become the product of her life.

In "The Thing" Is by Kathleen Gerard, we meet an animal that is more than the norm, much more. Prozac , our protagonist, has an amazingly high IQ and a spiritual wisdom that guides him. He is now fixated on working his magic and bringing his new charge back to life, and she has no say in his decision to move forward.

In "The Restaurant Critic's Wife", Elizabeth La Ban has given us an interesting look at life that seems both bizarre and funny on the outside, but creates pain and hurt on the inside.

"The Rabbit Who Wants to Go To Harvard" by Zeldar The Great with help from Diana Holquist and Christopher Eliopoulos is interactive and witty. While the work is fun and zany, almost more for an adult reader, the way it is written is fun for a child.

Confessions of an Imaginary Friend is just a wickedly funny and fun look at what happens when the imaginary discovers that they are imaginary.

If you enjoy fantasy and danger, threaded with mystery and adventure you will love the characters in this tale. The second of a series it still reads well on its own, and you will find that Wes and his erstwhile friends are a mix of fear and courage. It is when they are all together the courage becomes fierce, and when one of their friends comes into trouble, you see what makes them who they are.

Can deep seated memories be the reason we are drawn to a particular place, a place that we may have never been?

Throughout the story there is a beauty and humor, a ‘candle in the wind’ for each of those whose lives have been touched by cancer.

Is there truely an app for anything? We often hear that is the case. What about an app that makes your decisions for you, and never makes one that isn't right for you? Is that even possible?
