Twisted

Right here in sweet little Portage County, Ohio:

Ravenna- A man who impregnated his 16-year-old stepdaughter with a syringe should not get custody of the boy who was born as a result, an appeals court ruled yesterday.

….Shenna Grimm gave birth to the boy in 1999 after she was inseminated by John Goff, who was married to her mother. Goff, 42, was sentenced to 20 years in prison in October 2002 for rape and other charges.

Grimm surrendered custody of the child in January to the Portage County Department of Job and Family Services. Goff and his parents then sought custody, but the Portage County Juvenile Court granted the agency permanent custody in May.

Goff and his parents appealed. In a decision released yesterday, the 11th Ohio District Court of Appeals ruled it was in the child’s best interest to be adopted, especially considering the circumstances of his birth. [Cleveland.com]

That last sentence is the understatement of the year. I have nothing but pity for this poor, literally misbegotten, child. Adoption at the age of 4 is no picnic, but under the circumstances, he deserves to start over with a family that doesn’t come out of a Northeast Ohio sequel to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

I think this child would be better off as far away from this twisted prick as possible. What in God’s name did he do it for in the first place?

Concert Review: Trio Wanderer Play Schumann, Liszt, Ravel at Bargemusic

The French ensemble played a muscular concert of Piano Trios by Schumann and Ravel, along with Liszt's weird and wily "Tristia – La Vallée d'Obermann" and an invigorating encore by Lili Boulanger.
