History’s ‘Vikings’ Kicks off Season Two

History’s scripted series Vikings premieres it second season Thursday, February 27 at 10 p.m. The series is a family saga about a clan of Norse warriors, their adventures, lives, and relationships. Their appetite for exploration is nearly as voracious as their appetite for warfare, knowledge, and power. Set during the Dark Ages, the series views this wild time of exploration and war through the eyes of Viking society.V2_01_07042013_BW_00667

Created by The Tudors Michael Hirst, the series focuses on restless young warrior Ragnar (Travis Fimmel), who longs to explore and conquer new lands. At the start of season two, he is a powerful Earl, anxious to explore further and further from his home shores. But with power comes a price as relationships suffer amidst crises of faith, shifting loyalties and spilt blood.

I will be interviewing the cast of Vikings in the next couple of week in advance of the season premiere. In the meantime, please enjoy these clips courtesy of History!
