This is not your father's 'Star Wars' movie, but it's yours if you let it be.

Santa has changed in two salient ways since I was a kid – he is making much cooler toys and he has become exceedingly more generous.

From September 1-3, the force will be at over 20,000 retailers in 30 countries as the Disney Company introduces new 'Star Wars' characters using augmented reality (AR). Disney will use this technology in an event they are calling Force Friday II to launch a new product line and generate excitement for the premier of 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' which will open in U.S. theaters on December 15, 2017.

The third season's finale had just about everything we fans could want – an epic space battle, a pernicious villain, heroic action from our Jedi, and the element of human trial and error that can make or break the rebellion.

Director Gareth Edwards promised attendees at his SXSW keynote address that he would answer the question, “How the heck do you become a filmmaker?” It all started, he explained, when his parents took him to “an obscure art film” called 'Star Wars'. He immediately wanted to grow up to join the rebel alliance and destroy the death star. He shared the disappointment he felt when he was told he couldn’t do this because it was “only a movie”.
