By the power of Grayskull... wait, that's someone else.

Screenshots: Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds

Ah Comic-Con, that beautiful moment in time when us nerds, geeks, dweebs, and miscellaneous sci-fi loving-types can get together and revel in all that makes us awesome.  Not only that, but sometimes we get surprise bonus goodies just for paying attention to Comic-Con news.

As an example, while we knew that Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was coming out, we didn’t know until Comic-Con that Thor and Amaterasu were going to be a part of it.  Don’t even pretend like you don’t know that Thor is going to be playing for the Marvel squad while Amaterasu is going in on the Capcom side.  We’re actually quite looking forward to seeing Thor go head-to-head with the previously announced Chris Redfield.  We’re not quite sure why that matchup strikes us as particularly awesome, but it does.  We’re also curious about some of the other potential battles, but we’re not going to get into it here and now.  Why?  Well, the game isn’t due out until the Spring of 2011 and if we get too excited now it’ll be hard for us to wait to get our hands on the game, which, by the way is fully titled Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds.

Here, to whet your appetite, check out some screenshots.
