PlayStation Network Update: 10/15/2009

Well it is great to see a worthwhile update this week! It all starts with price drops, Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty is a must have at $9.99 and Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars becomes a lot more palatable at the new $5 dollar price point. I love these promotions and Sony needs to do them every week.

We have a few new titles this week as well, the first is another interactive art piece called .detuned. Not really my thing as I like games and stuff, but unique and pretty to say the least. Another BUZZ! Junior pack is on hand and two new PSN games as well. Mushroom Wars is a unique and accessible RTS and topotai: The Great Tree Story is a platformer/puzzle game that reminds me of Lost Vikings for some reason.

A new PSOne classic, Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation is joined by a bunch of new PSP digital titles. Nine titles were added with Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max and SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Tactical Strike being the highlights for me in the bunch.

There are a few worthwhile add-ons in the mix this week as well as some throwaway items. The BUZZ! Quiz TV Space Pack and Red Faction: Guerrilla Smasher Pack look good, but costumes for Hot Shots Golf and unappealing packs for High Velocity Bowling do not.
