Cool Tunes

Cool Tunes

Cool Tunes is a radio show in a magazine format Saturday nights at 10pm on WAPS, “The Summit,” in Akron, Ohio. I play new music, reissues, and preview shows coming to town each week. Musically it is among the widest-ranging 2 hours in the country: modern rock, punk, electronica, jazz, reggae and ska, roots rock, Americana, blues, world, funk, hip hop, avant garde, etc. – if it’s cool I play it. Our audio streaming is better than ever. Check us out from anywhere in the world.

Huge concert week. We previewed concerts coming to the Cleveland area by Guided by Voices, Mekons, Ratdog (Grateful Dead), Blunstone/Argent (Zombies), English Beat, CJ Chenier, Llama, The Sights, Ether Net, Elliptical, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe.
