Blogcritics On 24 Day 4 – The Series

The two-hour finale to Fox’s 24 tonight promises to be a ripper with a nuclear warhead sent flying to an unknown eastern U.S. city by terrorists with Jack Bauer hot on its tail like Slim Pickens in Dr. Strangelove. We, and primarily Jeff Kouba, have been following the sequential show is its fourth — and by far most commerically successful — season thus far, hour by hour:

24 Finale: Worst … Episode … Ever
“I Love You’s” don’t belong … A complete mess

24 Day 4, 4:00 AM – 5:00 AM
I remember all my life, raining down as cold as ice. Shadows of a man, a face through a window, crying in the night…. but enough about me. Let’s get to this week’s episode. Ray is leaving the house with golf…

24 Day 4, 3:00 AM – 4:00 AM
More graphic violence. Yeah, sure, like I’m falling for that one again. I’m gonna go wake the kids and get ’em down here. Old Doc Besson continues to work on Jong. Is he really the guy they want working on Jong,…

24 Day 4, 2:00 AM – 3:00 AM
If Spock were to mindmeld with this episode, as he did with the Horta in TOS episode “The Devil in the Dark”, what would he say? Hmm, probably the same thing he said then, “Pain! Pain!” What’s the Trek tie in?…

Weak. The President should have died.

There are certain forensic psychologists who can build up a profile of a person by reading what they write. In looking at 24 this season, even an amateur can tell that an insane person is writing this show. We get the…

This show is becoming a cry for help. Please, if there are any professional psychologists reading this, contact Fox and help their writers in any way you can. Lives may be at stake. Tony starts us off by telling us “multiple…

24 – Episode 415 – “Day 4: 9:00PM-10:00PM”
So now we know what makes this fourth season of 24 different from the previous three installments: it’s not Jack Bauer’s really long, really bad day–it’s Audrey Raines’ really long, really bad day. In case you’ve lost track (or haven’t been…

Though this behemoth could crush me beneath its treads, with my briefcase and shopping bag I will stand in front of it and face it. If it turns, I will move to keep myself in front of it. For clearly,…

Islamic Secularism, “24”, and transformation
Fox’s hit show “24” took a giant leap into fair and balanced portrayals of Muslim characters in a well-directed episode this week, which featured two secular Muslims who aid Jack Bauer and his rival (romantic) to defend themselves against a…

24 Day 4, 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
I think this must be the scenario. For Christmas, a teenage boy received a new EZ-Screenwriter software package. Because he’s new to the software, he doesn’t yet understand how to leverage all of its capabilities, so at first he sticks…

24 Day 4, 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
The episode begins with Operation Mop-up. Marwan managed to slip through the extremely tight security cordon CTU had put up around the Rockland Building. I wouldn’t have thought you could slip a knife through that security, but somehow Marwan managed…

Jack is either a psycho, or a sadist. It’s sad to see a once great man fall so far. He didn’t even bother trying to question Paul first, and give him a chance to explain himself. Nope, he went straight…

24 Day 4, 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
It is a refreshing touch that this episode doesn’t begin with one of those time warps 24 is famous for. I mean, we start right off with Pa and Beiruts making their way into the basement at the hospital. We…

24 Day 4, 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
This episode was an odd sort of deli sandwich, a few pieces of cold Smart between two slices of Stupid. As we start out, Curtis is inside talking to Driscoll about how to cover their heinies over the Marianne Affair. Another…
