I guess we know what’s in store for this week. American Idol runs three times this week – tonight, Tuesday and Wednesday – for a total of five hours of audition footage, two hours more than last season:
- The fun, of course, is in the hunt. The audition segments have been stretched to five hours – three this week (tonight, Tuesday and Wednesday) and two more next week. “I wouldn’t watch the show unless there were loads of bad people, because that’s what I like watching,” Cowell says. [USA Today]
So in other words, if you don’t want to see a whole lot of crappy singing and flamboyant insults from Cowell, dismissive head shaking from Randy Jackson, and disappointed cooing from Paula Abdul, then blow this week off.
