Working On A Dream

Bruce Springsteen announced on November 17 that he would release his 24th album on January 27, 2009. Working On a Dream teamed Springsteen with his longtime collaborators The E Street Band. The album was produced by Brendan O'Brien, marking the fourth time he has produced a Springsteen record.

Working on a Dream is the first E Street Band album recorded after the death of organist Dan Federici, who passed away in April 2008 after a bout with melanoma. It was recorded during sessions for the 2007 album Magic as well as during breaks from the Magic world tour.

The 12-song album will also features two bonus tracks. The first, "The Wrestler," is the theme song to a film of the same name. The second, "A Night With The Jersey Devil" was recently offered through the singer's web site as a free Halloween download.

The title track of the album was premiered during NBC's Sunday Night Football game featuring the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins on Sunday, November 16th. Prior to that, Springsteen and his wife, Patti Scialfa, played the song at a rally in support of U.S. Presidential Candidate Barack Obama.
