Blogcritics is proud to be teaming up with Epic Records to give our readers a chance to win Red Carpet Massacre, the new album from Duran Duran.
Best known for their chart topping singles "Girls on Film," "Hungry Like the Wolf," and "Rio," this English pop group forged a successful career through the 80s, and their videos were often seen on the then fledgling MTV. Original members Nick Rhodes (keyboards) and John Taylor (bass) joined with Roger Taylor (drums), Andy Taylor (guitar), and Simon Le Bon (lead vocals) to form Duran Duran. The band have gone through some line-up changes over the years but have never stopped making their definitive style of brit-pop. In near original form (Andy Taylor rejoined, but has now left the band again) the band are releasing Red Carpet Massacre.
Duran Duran's Red Carpet Massacre will be released November 13. You can hear the first single, "Falling Down," produced by and co-written with Justin Timberlake, at the contest site. Well-known producer Timbaland also worked on the album, which was recorded after a two-year tour supporting the band’s previous release, Astronaut.
Information and news on Duran Duran can be found at their official website. Their Myspace page, run by Nathan Stack, is also a good source for news and information.
