Vocal coach Roger Love will appear on Gerrad Hall’s MusicPlusTV morning news program Daily Dose to discuss his work with Academy Award nominees Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix, both of whom he coached both for their roles in Walk the Line.
Regarding Witherspoon’s and Phoenix’s performances in Walk the Line, Love said, “I think they sound amazing, and they’re getting great reviews on their voices. Neither of them were singers. I had to build the technique into their voices.”
Love has been a high-end vocal coach for over twenty years, working out of Cherokee Studios in Hollywood with such diverse notables as the Beach Boys, Matchbox 20, Eminem, Billy Idol, and Papa Roach, as well as actors and celebrity speakers.
The interview will air on Daily Dose on Wednesday, March 1st at 8 a.m. Pacific Time, and in addition to discussing Witherspoon and Phoenix, Love will also offer advice to Hall’s artist-heavy audience on vocal technique. The show will be archived in “The Stash,” a section of MusicPlusTV’s website that makes previously aired content available for on-demand downloading.
