Reptar, Invader Zim, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Set to Invade San Diego Comic-Con

Nickelodeon is bringing three one-of-a-kind virtual and real-world experiences to San Diego next month for Comic-Con International (SDCC). It will an event, says the network, that will have fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans saying “Cowabunga!”

Bringing an 1,800 square-foot booth (#4113) to the Comic-Con convention floor, Nickelodeon will feature: Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as the band of turtle brothers seeks to unlock the mystical secrets of New York City. Also featured will be the upcoming Invader Zim original TV movie, the return of iconic comic game show Double Dare. animated series The Loud House. Towering over it all will be the Rugrats Reptar.

Nickelodeon tells us that the installation will feature a towering New York City cityscape, complete with the bright lights, energy, and billboards of Times Square; a hidden Turtles lair; the Double Dare hamster wheel, where fans can take photos with the iconic obstacle course challenge; a photo opportunity with life-size characters from The Loud House; an autograph area featuring the voice casts and creators of Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, giveaways, costumed character appearances, and much more.

In addition, some fans have the opportunity to interact with the Ninja Turtles in an off-scene virtual reality experience called “Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Live,” which immerses fans in the Turtles’ New York City world. They can talk with Mikey or Donnie, who will be voiced live on the scene by Brandon Mychal Smith and Josh Brener, respectively.

During SDCC, Nickelodeon will present two panels: Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, featuring the new voice cast and a sneak peek at the upcoming series; and Invader Zin: Enter the Florpus!
