Previewing San Diego Comic-Con 2019: Friday

The 50th Comic-Con International will commence in two weeks so the entire day’s programming is now being made available on their website, giving attendees the chance to start planning their activities.  The more interests one has the more difficult it can become, especially if those interests are popular. Here’s my Top 5 panels I hope to attend (in chronological order) :

[adult swim] RICK AND MORTY (1:00pm – 1:45pm, Indigo Ballroom) – Executive producers and co-creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland, and voice talent Spencer Grammer, Sarah Chalke, and Chris Parnell will be on hand to preview the upcoming fourth season, which debuts in November. Hoping they screen an episode.

[adult swim] GENNDY TARTAKOVSKY’S PRIMAL (2:00pm – 2:45pm, Indigo Ballroom) – Looks like I’ll be keeping my seat for this panel that follows as Having already creator Genndy Tartakovsky presents his new animated project and having already created Dexter’s Laboratory and Samurai Jack, I have faith it’ll be another great series.

THE FIRST GEEKS: RAY BRADBURY AND THE LA SCIENCE FICTION LEAGUE (3:30pm – 4:30am, Room 24ABC) – According to the program description, “Before they were famous, Ray Bradbury, Ray Harryhausen, and Forry Ackerman were three buddies who used to meet every week as members of the LA Science Fiction League.” As a fan of all three, I am definitely curious to hear what Orty Ortwein of Ray Bradbury Experience Museum can share about those times.

ARCHER: EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEEK SCREENING AND Q&A (5:oopm – 600pm, Indigo Ballroom) – Currently in its 10th  and final season, where the characters have been transported to space under the title Archer: 1999, the executive producers and cast will be in hand for a Q&A after a sneak peek at the penultimate episode.

WORLD PREMIERE OF BATMAN: HUSH (7:15pm – 9:15pm, Room 20) – This year’s annual DC Universe movie is Batman: Hush. The story is about Hush, a new villain that works with the Caped Crusader’s Rogues Gallery to take down Batman.  The post-screening panel will include Jason O’Mara (Batman/Bruce Wayne) and Jennifer Morrison (Catwoman/Selina Kyle), Maury Sterling (Hush), Geoffrey Arend (the Riddler), Hynden Walch (Harley Quinn), and Bruce Thomas (Jim Gordon).
