Morrissey and Bauhaus Top LA’s Cruel World Festival Debut Line-Up

GoldenVoice presents Cruel World, a one-day music festival taking place on the Grounds at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California on Saturday, May 2nd. The line-up features a number of acts that came to prominence in the alternative music scene of the 1980s. In the order that they appear on the poster, the line-up includes: Morrissey, Bauhaus, Blondie, Devo, The Psychedelic Furs, Echo & the Bunneymen, Violent Femmes, The Church, English Beat. Public Image Ltd., Gary Numan, Marc Almond, and many more. The General Info page provides information on what is and is not allowed into the venue, which will open at 12pm.

Cruel World is currently sold out but they have a waitlist available on their website for all three types of tickets: General Admission (access to all stages, food and drink vendors, and all GA areas of the festival), VIP (VIP access to the festival, VIP entry line, VIP viewing area, VIP-only restrooms, and access to VIP food and drink vendors – on top of all GA areas of the festival), and Super VIP (in addition the VIP amenities listed above, this ticket includes access to the Super VIP viewing area in front of mainstage as well as access to an exclusive lounge with complimentary snacks and water, preferred parking lot access, and a merch package upgrade with a limited edition Cruel World t-shirt, 1 limited edition poster, and 1 hat).

If priced the same as when initially released, General Admission will be $135-$165+fees, VIP will be $225-250+fees, and Super VIP will be $350+fees. Refunds are not provided for any reason, but tickets can be returned though LYTE exchange, allowing those interested with the possibility of getting to go without overpaying.
