Somehow I missed cognition of Langerado’s 1 and 2, but number 3 sounds mighty appealing for an early spring thaw-out for wandering pale skins. The third annual Langerado Music Festival will be held at Markham Park in Sunrise, Florida, a sprawling facility perched at the eastern edge of the Everglades Conservation Area.
Langerado’s current line-up includes headliners The String Cheese Incident (two nights), Medeski Martin & Wood, Toots and the Maytals, Keller Williams, Umphrey’s McGee, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Michael Franti & Spearhead, De La Soul, MOFRO, Particle, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Soulive, The New Deal, Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, Robert Walters 20th Congress, New Monsoon, Benevento Russo Duo, Donavon Frankenreiter, Kaki King, Spam Allstars, Hackensaw Boys, deSol, DJ Williams Projekt and many others still to be announced.
The festival’s two days will include all of the above performing on 3 stages from 11 am – 9 pm, and plans are being forged for late-night shows in clubs scattered throughout the Ft. Lauderdale area.
Also, through a partnership with Sonic Bids, one unsigned band will have the opportunity to perform at the festival.
Besides all this live jammy musical nonsense, Langerado will host a Bier Garden featuring micro-brewed beers from around the country, as well as 40+ vendors selling their crap, I men crafts. For those traveling to the event, check out special hotel rates.
