One Two Many Rabbits from Happy Camper Games brings together math and adorable bunnies for a game that is as much probability as it is strategy. The core of the game is quick math, but lateral thinking and quickly adapting are just as important as players work to eliminate their rabbit cards. The first player to shed all of their numbered cards wins, but how players get there will change with every turn.
One Too Many Rabbits: Wide Variety in Play
Each game of One Two Many Rabbits begins with each player receiving a Player Deck with cards numbered one through 12 and two special Wild and Plus/Minus cards. The play area also features the Main deck with more numbered cards as well as two more specials: Piggyback, which allows players to “piggyback” on another player’s turn as a bonus action, and Place Your Rab-bets, which triggers a mini-game for all players. These special cards can radically change the game, so players will need to pay close attention to their options and how those options can change whenever they miss a roll and need to draw.
Every Turn a Roll of the Dice
During their turns players choose to roll one, two, or all three of the regular six-sided dice. From whatever they roll, they can discard numbered cards by adding up the dice to match the number. For example, if a player rolls a two and two sixes, they could discard a two and a single six, a six and an eight, or a two and a 12. Since each player’s action will depend on what they roll, they will have to decide in the moment what their best path will be.

Whenever a player cannot use a die to discard, they will have to draw from the Main deck, which in itself is a gamble. The draw could be a setback, with another numbered card to get rid of; a Piggyback card to get ahead; a Wild that will give more flexibility in getting rid of other cards; or a Place Your Rab-bets. Then all players pull a number card from their hand; if it matches the sum of two dice rolled they get to freely discard it. With so many ways to empty a hand, each game is up in the air until the very last discard.
Sum It Up
One Two Many Rabbits is a card game for one to four players aged seven and up. Regular games usually take between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on how quickly players make their decisions. The game also includes a special single-player mode where the player is pitted against “the Farm.” The Farm has a smaller hand with only six numbered cards, and always rolls two dice. These automations act like the dealer in blackjack, always following statistical rules. Clever humans, however, can beat the odds by outwitting the Farm and striking when the time is right. The trick is to be ready for anything. After all, one never can tell what to expect from a rabbit.
