The iPad is quickly becoming (or already has become) the go-to device for much of the population, regardless of status or stature. It lives in the world between hip and elegant so everyone from lawyers to loungers has one. Since Apple keeps a very tight lock on the design, look and feel of its devices, the main way you can put a personal stamp on one is by the way you carry it around. The Original iFolio for iPad from NewerTech is for those who want to make an impression from the boardroom to the courtroom.
The NewerTech Original iFolio is handcrafted here in the United States and boasts in its construction the finest imported Brazilian leather. Not bad (yet not good to sell to the PETA crowd.) It works great for both men and women because of its detachable and adjustable shoulder strap.
On the inside there is a document sleeve for easy access to those important items you haven’t managed to digitize yet. There are also two business card holders, but I will admit than when you first get this the card slots are a little on the tight side (I was able to only fit about four cards in), but once the leather breathes a bit and you get some use out of the iFolio the pockets will open up more.
For some out there worrying about whether leather is strong enough to adequately protect your iPad, you can relax knowing that sewn inside the leather binding in a plastic hard shell, very much like what you would find on the market in the hard case niche. Plus, if the iFolio does manage to get damaged, it is backed by a lifetime warranty from NewerTech.
For me, as a writer, I am fairly chained to my iPad keyboard case, but the iFolio beats mine hands down when it comes to getting the iPad in and out of the case as needed. The iPad is held in by four elastic, non-marring straps which slide up and over or off the device with ease. Compared to the prying I need to do to pop my iPad out of the keyboard case, it’s a relief.
The NewerTech Original iFolio will make you look like a million bucks walking into the room, but cost you far, far less.
