Exclusively For You: Still Flyin’ – “Aerosmith, Take Me To The Other Side”

Last week (April 21) Still Flyin’ released their debut album, Never Gonna Touch The Ground on the Ernest Jenning Record Company label. Technically, the band hails from San Francisco, but its fifteen members come together from all around the world.

With that many players, their sound is anything but small, but it’s also not complicated or busy. Somehow, someway, they managed to perfectly layer the ingredients to give our ears a perfectly blended treat. A big pat on the back to Haima Marriott (with Gus Franklin and Isobel Knowles) for mixing the album.

Sean Rawls, the leader of this large group got his start in such bands of Masters of the Hemisphere and Je Suis France and the skills he acquired in those training grounds resonate. But you don’t have to take my word for it.

Here at Blogcritics we’re giving you a first listen to the “Areosmith, Take Me to The Other Side” track I’m sure you’ll agree this combination reggae and jangly, feel-good pop is something you just have to have.
