These sites justify the fake notes on the basis a person shouldn't need to go to the time and expense of a doctor's visit when suffering from minor ailments like a cold, sprain or allergies. Aside from the ethical issues, being caught using a fake doctor's excuse could mean loss of a job, discipline by school officials or even being prosecuted for the crime of fraud.
