Tomorrow, December 6, starting at 6 PM ET, Santa Claus will commune with the masses via a cybercast:

    Santa Claus had agreed to host the 3rd Annual live “Streaming Santa” video webcast with special “webcapting™” technology to offer captioned video streaming for the disabled. The holiday event, scheduled for Friday, December 6 beginning at 6 PM EST as a simul-webcast available at and co-promoter, Real Networks, and, will feature Santa reading holiday stories and interacting with participants in the studio and around the world by chat, e-mail and phone in different scheduled appearances throughout the evening. Those with disabilities will be able to join in the fun thanks to the webcapted™ streaming video, a process developed in concert with’s channel, the first global Internet televsion channel for disabled.

    ….The event will be compressed and archived for viewing later in conventional video format. Participants should have the free Real Player installed prior to the event and should log on by 5:30 PM on the 6th. Questions can be directed to 703-961-9250 before and during the event. The event will be archived at and for later viewing by those who couldn’t attend live.
