It’s become part of the annual San Diego Comic-Con (AKA SDCC) landscape. Starting the evening before the official start of the five days of controlled chaos that is SDCC, Conan O’Brien brings his TBS talk show to the venerable Spreckels theater in San Diego’s historic Gaslamp District. Last year, I was at the Wednesday taping, which included guests from Netflix’s series Bright, (Will Smith, Joel Edgerton, Noomi Rapace, Lucy Fry, and director David Ayer) and the stars of TV’s Supernatural, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles. And of course, we all left ConanCon Day 1 with the coveted Funko popup figures outfitted for the annual pop-culture event.
Conan O’Brien’s late-night talk fest airs nightly on TBS 11:00 p.m. ET/10:00 p.m. CT.
This year, @TeamCoco is prepping for SDCC by setting up an Instagram account, which will feature giveaways, guest updates and behind-the-scenes surprises from O’Brien and the team.
Make sure you join Blogcritics’ coverage for all things #SDCC by following @Blogcritics and @B_Barnett. Like #ConanCon, Blogcritics will be hitting the ground Wednesday, July 18. We’ll cover the television scene and more with updates several times a day on my Instagram feed @BBarnett830.
San Diego Comic-Con, the largest pop-culture festival in the world will take place July 18-22. Passes for SDCC are long-gone, but so much else happens in the carnival atmosphere of the Gaslamp, and without the requirement of a Comic-Con pass, you don’t really need to get inside to have a great time.
