Brad Pitt is an American actor and film producer who generates worldwide blog and media attention because of his talent, his looks, and his marriage to Jennifer Aniston, which broke up due to a reputed affair with Angelina Jolie.
Pitt began appearing in film and television roles in the late 1980s but first generated critical attention in the 1991 film "Thelma & Louise". Pitt's first lead role in a major film was in 1994's "Interview with the Vampire" and he has appeared as a popular leading man ever since. He won a Golden Globe in 1996 for best supporting actor in the film "12 Monkeys" and the 2005 People's Choice Award for best leading man.
Pitt was named People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" in 1995 and 2000. He married Aniston in 2000. They divorced in 2005 following rumors Pitt and Jolie became involved while filming "Mr. and Mrs. Smith". The couple, often referred to as Brangelina, have lived together since 2005 and have six children, including three who were adopted.
