The Grammy Awards, February 13 on CBS, will have Grammy-nominated performers tripping all over each other during the broadcast, especially at the beginning of the show. Five nominated artists — the Black Eyed Peas, Gwen Stefani (who will perform with Eve), Los Lonely Boys, Maroon5 and Franz Ferdinand — will open the 47th Annual GRAMMY Awards by appearing together in one performance across three stages. I am having a hard time visualizing this, but I’m a knucklehead.

Usher, who is nominated for eight Grammys (Record Of The Year and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration – “Yeah!” with Lil Jon and Ludacris; Album Of The Year and Best Contemporary R&B Album – Confessions); Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song – “Burn”); and Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals and Best R&B Song – “My Boo” with Alicia Keys), will also perform. Newly announced presenters include three-time Grammy-winner Kris Kristofferson, Matthew McConaughey, Lisa Marie Presley, and Charlie Sheen.

And in keeping with the spirit of the times, the Grammy telecast will feature a special fund-raising musical performance of the Beatles’ “Across The Universe” on behalf of tsunami relief efforts performed by Bono, Norah Jones, Alicia Keys, Slash, Velvet Revolver, Tim McGraw, Brian Wilson, and Stevie Wonder. Viewers will be able to download the live performance of the song from iTunes Music Store for $.99, and CBS.com will offer exclusive video of the segment. All proceeds from downloads of the track will go to tsunami relief efforts.

They don’t usually replay awards shows.

I asked this in another thread but got no reply…..i hope its not too late, but will the Grammys be airing again anytime soon?

  • I love ciara and i heard that she took home one grammy . She performed with avril and looked very beautiful she definitly earned her spot on that stage. keep up the good work can’t wait until u’r next single.LOVEYOU!

  • I believe that Ciara should ake at least 5 grammy’s like the Pop Goddess Beyonce Knowles. Ciara is so down to earth. I hate to see people dis her because of the way she was born. Ciara has a gift from God and that is to entertain. She is similar to the RnB Princess Aaliyah. keep up the good work. Much love to you.

  • My girl Ciara is the hottest. She is recieving comparices to JLo, Beyonce’, Christina Milian, and Gwen Stefani. Ciara is nominated for 2 grammy’s but she should be nominated for more. She should be a shining star like those girls. She has a triple-platinum album, singles “Goodies featuring Pete Pablo”, and “1 2 step featuring Missy Elliot” hit #1 and “Oh featuring Ludacris” and single “And I” hit top 5 of the charts. Her album debuted at #3 and stayed top 5 for a month. This is why she should be the queen of the grammy’s. Not hatting on Mariah though.

  • Ciara is the hottest of them all. With her smooth voice and her killer dance moves, she should give her all of the fame. Ciara should have just as much fame as Beyonce’, Alicia Keys, and Mariah carey has hadover the past few years. Ciara should walk away with 50% of those grammy’s for 2006.

    Semora Lopez

  • I think that Ciara should win most of the Grammy’s because she had won of the biggest years including multi-platinum album goodies and Multi- top charted singles.Mariah and Ciara should win the most but since the sexuality rumor, they’ve been trying to bring her career down but she still should have the most nominees and wins.

  • Well, as a music guy I must watch. Of course, I am much much happier since that ass clown Greene stepped down from NARAS. It certainly can’t be any less relevant to the musical landscape of America than the VMAs.

Ah, who am I kidding. If there is a U2 performance buried in there somewhere (and there is at all award shows) then I will be watching. It’s the only place I can see the band. Their tickets for two Denver indoor stadium shows all went to scalpers instead of fans. I heard that happened pretty much across the nation.
