KABB readies third studio record...

Kilborn Alley Blues Band Release Artwork, Tracklist for Better Off Now, Due March 16

Killborn Alley Blues Band, fresh off their win at the Blues Blast Music Awards as the Sean Costello Rising Stars, has announced the tracklisting and released artwork for their upcoming third CD for Blue Bella Records Better Off Now, due out March 16.

The quintet made up of Andrew Duncanson (vocals, guitar), Joe Asselin (harmonica), Josh Stimmel (guitar), Chris Breen (bass), and Ed O’Hara (drums) has assembled an 11-track outing, nine of which are band originals.  The other two songs include a cover of John Brim’s “Tough Times” and a song written for them by their producer and labelmate, Nick Moss (“Watch It”). Moss also releases a new album, Privileged, that same day.

In addition to production duties, Moss adds guest guitar work on three tracks.  Flip Top multi-instrumentalist Gerry Hundt adds farfisa and Rhodes organ and slides behind the drum kit on “Tough Times.”  Eric Michaels provides organ on two tracks, as well.

KABB was nominated for Blues Music Awards following each of their first two records.  In 2007, their debut Put It In The Alley was nominated as Best New Artist Debut.  Tear Chicago Down, their 2008 follow up, was nominated for Best Contemporary Blues Album.
