Il Divo is a classical-pop quartet featuring an American tenor David Miller, popular French singer Sébastien Izambard, Swiss tenor Urs Buhler, and Spanish baritone Carlos Marin. Their self titled CD was released in 2005 and included "All by Myself," the Frank Sinatra classic "My Way" and a cover of Toni Braxton's "Unbreak My Heart."
Michael Buble is best known as the crooner and jazz pop singer from Canada. His self-titled debut disc was released in early 2003. He covered classic songs such as "Fever" and "The Way You Look Tonight," giving them a face-lift and a new jazzy feel. The appropriate Valentine Release of his current CD, With Love featured eight highly romantic songs and has brought him even greater success.
Odyssey, the new album from Hayley Westenra, was released April 10 and includes the newest single "Ave Maria." The single, the first ever to be released only in the digital format, was made available May 3. The 18-year old New Zealand native is primarily a classical crossover but maintains she wants to continue to expand and grow as an artist. She comes from a highly musical family and her talent was nurtured by her grandmother who was a singer and her grandfather who played the piano.
Daniel Powter was launched into stardom this last year when his song "You Had a Bad Day" was featured as the good-bye to unfortunate American Idol contestants who had been voted off the show. "Lie To Me" is the follow up single, and both songs are on his debut self-titled CD. MP3s and videos for both singles are available on the artist's website. The American Idol Season 5 Encores CD features songs from the most recent top twelve including winner Taylor Hicks as well as runner-up Katherine McPhee.
