Walker Stalker Con Brings ‘The Walking Dead’ Cast to Chicago in February

Midwest The Walking Dead fans unite! Walker Stalker Con is coming to Chicago February 21 and 22, 2015, and it’s bringing with it some top names from AMC’s hit series The Walking Dead! Melissa McBride (Carol Peletier), Danai Gurira (Michonne), David Morrissey (The Governor, himself), Steven Yeun (Glenn), Emily Kinney (the dear departed Beth) and more are already confirmed to appear at the convention.Walker Stalker Con Chicago

Walker Stalker Con was born in Atlanta, boasting more Walking Dead cast than any other con (well, maybe except for San Diego Comic Con). The organizers call it not just a convention but a real fan meetup, allowing guests not only to attend panels with their favorite The Walking Dead and horror stars, but to participate in unique experiences.

Chicago’s Navy Pier provides a perfect backdrop for Walker Stalker Con with its lakefront setting and up-close vantage of Chicago’s magnificent skyline (okay, so it’s not a burnt out shell of Atlanta!).  Promising more guests to be confirmed shortly, the complete list of confirmed attendees includes:

  • Melissa McBride (Carol)
  • Danai Gurira (Michonne)
  • David Morrissey (The Governor)
  • Chandler Riggs (Carl Grimes)
  • Steven Yeun (Glenn Rhee)
  • Emily Kinney (Beth Greene)
  • IronE Singleton (T-Dog)
  • Michael Cudlitz (Abraham)
  • Christian Serratos (Rosita Espinosa)
  • Josh McDermitt (Eugene)
  • Alanna Masterson (Tara)
  • Lawrence Gilliard Jr. (Bob Stookey)
  • Jeff Kober (Joe of the Claimers)
  • Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha)
  • Chad Coleman (Tyreese)
  • Jose Pablo Cantillo (Martinez, The Governor’s henchman)
  • Travis Love (The Governor’s other henchman, Shumpert)
  • Jeryl Prescott (Jacqui)
  • Daniel Thomas May (Allen)
  • RJ Mitte (Breaking Bad)
  • Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, Once Upon a Time, Revolution)

Walker Stalker Con was born of the Walker Stalkers Podcast starring  James & Eric. After visiting the set of The Walking Dead, they envisioned a fan-funded and fan-run convention/meetup where zombie aficionados could schmooze, meet their favorites, and get really into the zombie-loving life, if only for a few days. General admission is $75 for both days, $45 for Saturday only, or $35 for Sunday only. Special VIP packages are available for those interested. These offer preferential seating in panels, more opportunities to meet your favorite The Walking Dead stars, and other amenities.

If you’re not near Chicago, Walker Stalker Con might be coming to a location near you, including: Orlando, San Francisco, Dallas, Boston, and New York.
