By far the biggest event for me at PAX East this year was a chance to be one of the first in the world to see the gameplay reveal of the upcoming game Baldur’s Gate 3 from Larian Studios.

Interesting characters and a true sense of choices and reactions set 'Divinity: Original Sin 2' at the top of the RPG pantheon. 

Gameplay in Divinity Original Sin 2 builds on the stellar systems introduced in the original game with turn based party combat being the driving force during encounters.
