Great update on the PSN this week with new games, addons, a demo and lots to watch.

PlayStation Network Update: 11/21/2007

Big week for Sony, they just launched the PlayStation store for PC which will make it much easier for PSP owners to get content such as demos, videos, downloadable original games and PS One Classics. The store launched with dozens of items, and is something I will be diving through soon! Full list of items on the PlayStation PC store, see the PlayStation.Blog entry.

On to the PlayStation store for the PS3, it updated early this week due to American Thanksgiving and they are giving a bonus to us gamers, the original PSN games Calling All Cars, fl0w, Pixel Junk Racers and Everyday Shooter are reduced to $4.99 US ($5.99 Cdn, even though our dollar is worth more, we still get the higher price for some reason). This is a fantastic promotion as all of these games are top notch and well worth a purchase, especially at the lowered prices. On top of that they released two PlayStation Eye games, a demo, some add-ons and a ton of videos, this is a great update all around.

Downloadable Games

Operation Creature Feature – PLAYSTATION Eye ($4.99)
In this title you control tiny creatures from another dimension using the motion of your hands using the PSEye. Help them navigate obstacles through earth, water, fire, and ice to escape from captivity. The more you save, the happier these creatures will be, they’re completely attracted to motion so make sure you look for other objects in the environment while you play.

Aquatopia – PLAYSTATION Eye ($1.99)
This program will give you a virtual aquarium without any of the hassles involved with real fish and their habitat. You can mix fresh and saltwater fish in many different settings and underwater accessories. Use the PSEye to interact with the fish by using hand movements and feed them by dipping your hands in the top of the water.

Demos

MX vs. ATV Demo
Churn up mud on the off-road by taking control of an ATV, MX bike, or Offroad Buggy and tearing through the terrain in this new demo for the upcoming title.

This download will expand the new Need for Speed ProStreet to the Collector’s Edition, the download features five exclusive cars: the ’01 Acura Integra LS, ’05 Acura NSX, ’06 Lexus IS350, ’06 Audi RS4 and the ’06 Pontiac Solstice GXP. The collectors edition also adds four new career race days to further extend the game.

Rock Band
Extra tracks for the newly released game Rock Band, definitely a little pricey for a game that was fairly light on track selection, but there are some great songs here that would be a blast to play.
