oasis dig out your soul

Oasis' Dig Out Your Soul is the seventh album released by British rock band.  It was released in 2008 to mixed reviews.  BC Magazine and All Music Guide both raved about the album, while other outlets were less impressed.

Just as with 2006's Don't Believe The Truth, Dig Out Your Soul was produced by Dave Sardy.  The core Oasis lineup of Liam Gallagher (vocals), Noel Gallagher (guitar, vocals), Gem Archer, and Andy Bell (guitar and bass) once again shared songwriting duties.  Zak Starkey, son of Beatles' drummer Ringo Starr, did the majority of the drumming on the album with Noel Gallagher providing the rest.  Starkey is no longer touring with the band.

The album was released in three packages:  a single disc, a CD/DVD set, and a box set comprised of two CDs, one DVD, and four vinyl LP records.   The album was preceded by first single "The Shock Of The Lightning."
