'War in Heaven' is a heavy-duty album, especially for fans of metal. Original melodies, pulsing with energy and vibrating rhythms, are anything but derivative. Henry Metal’s voice retains a presumptuous vitality that works well, and his talent on the axe is superb – great shredding and ascendant riffs.

'Ok to Land,' Livingmore's debut, delivers outstanding alt/pop rock. The melodies emanate infectious pigments, as well as creamy smooth harmonics. And Moore’s elegantly yummy voice infuses an aesthetic finish both polished and exquisitely delightful.

'Power' is a strong album, especially if you’re into gleaming prog rock. The melodies ooze undulating waves of harmonic colors and the vocal harmonies complement the expansive nature of the music. Staring Into Nothing has produced an assertive album worth listening to.

'Forever Love' demonstrates douceur de vivre, the “sweetness of life.” It’s a great, lively love song. The melody is infectious, the rhythm pulses with undeviating brawn, and Kaz Bielinski’s voice injects just the right amount of shivering passion.

Fort's vocals capture the natural feel of a live show on the title track. She also shows how the power of music can help people who suffer from mental illness.

'High on Love (Cant’ Get Too)' is a buff and nastily tight song. The funky melody writhes with chill, fresh dynamics, as the rhythmic pulsations flex with muscularity. With this tune, Karen Atkins delivers music rife with enormous frisson.

Gould applies the principles of R&B, funk, and jazz to his arrangements.

'Anything Can Happen' is a beautiful love song. The indulgent melody exudes an easy elegant sonority, while the gentle rhythm assumes a reflective ambiance. And Brian Hutson’s silky voice bestows a charming flavor that’s compelling.

Sony Classical's 'Molly's Game' soundtrack from composer Daniel Pemberton comes highly recommended (3.5 stars) and is available on digital and physical disc.

'Landfall' by Laurie Anderson and the Kronos Quartet is extraordinary and one of the most brilliant albums I've heard in a long time.
