mayan calendar

As the year 2012 approaches, there has been renewed interest in the prophecies of the Mayan Calendar, and in particular to the prophecies the calendar is said to predict will occur in that same year.

Both secular authors and New Age devotees point to a world-altering event predicted by the Mayan Calendar to take place in December 2012. Depending on who you talk to, this same event will forever change mankind, and be transformational, apocalyptic, or perhaps even both in nature.

As can be imagined, the Mayan Calendar has become a hot button topic for bloggers everywhere as a result. You'll find them at sites like the Maya Portal and Survive 2012.
