Jacquelyne Love’s Fashion for Passion

Set in the open air venue and backed by the traditional sounds of summer, Jacquelyne Love launched her Spring/Summer 06 line on October 10 at the Cabana Club in Hollywood, CA.

When asked about the event that also served to kick off an online charity auction for victims of Hurricane Katrina, Jacquelyne said, "I usually debut at the Smashbox during fashion week but with the devastation of Katrina it didn't seem right." So she waited, and Monday night Fashion for Passion was born as she delivered the eagerly anticipated clothing line.

Shown left is an example of the playful attire that is foundation to the line. With it's rich colors and stone accents it is typical of the Brazilian tone that Love emulates magnificently.

Gowns of light flowing fabrics, fun beach wear and sensual swimwear in rich and vibrant colors are all there in the spring and summer line. Included in the new divisions are totes, bags, and shoes, all prominently displayed in the presentation, and all true to her style and the beauty of the clothing line. All of which are just as practical as they are uniquely special.

The fashions were sent down the runway as the Beach Boys, fronted by Jacquelyne's husband, Mike Love, played their signature songs of summer. The music, familiar lyrics accompanied by the island sounds of conga drums, served as a perfect backdrop to the stylish clothes and the mild evening air.

Once the new line was presented, Jacquelyne made an impassioned plea to visit the online auction at Charityfolks.com (Founded by the Love's) and help the Red Cross to raise money for the victims of Katerina. Among the items being auctioned off is a six piece private collection of her designs.

You will enjoy the beauty and glamour of this six piece collection but more importantly, you'll radiate with knowing that you have contributed positively to the benefit of Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. (Love)

After committing a generous donation of funds already raised, she turned the stage back over to the Beach Boys.

Now it was no longer a show, but a party. A celebration of the spirit of everything Love embraces as a free spirited mother, strong business woman, and generous philanthropist. The enthusiastic crowd sang along and danced, not a soul caring that it was October and not July, for just one night it was summer.

John Stamos served as special guest drummer for the evening. A role he seemed very comfortable in, as he should having been an occasional member for fifteen years.

His contribution extended beyond the drums as he lent his talents playing guitar as well, adding a playful element to the show as he interacted with other band members.

The Fashion For Passion auction is currently active and will be open until 6pm Eastern October 20. Bids can be placed on many Beach Boy memorabilia, the private clothing collection, or Charles Winston earrings and accessories at Charityfolks.com
