Fans who preorder the new album from Red Hot Chili Peppers from iTunes will also get a jump on tickets to the band’s upcoming tour according to a Macworld story.
As previously reported on Blogcritics, the band’s tour will kick off in Portland in August. Tickets will go on sale on May 13 for the general public. Fan club members will get a chance to get their tickets May 9 as will anyone who preorders the album through iTunes. Details on how fan club members will get to participate has not been publicly announced. iTunes users will be e-mailed a special code allowing them to participate in the May 9 presale.
Both presale and general sale tickets will be handled by Ticketmaster.
If fans do not hear about the upcoming Red Hot Chili Peppers CD or miss out on a chance to buy tickets it will not be because of a lack of promotion.
Blogcritics already reported the complete tracklist and release date for the new double album Stadium Arcadium and revealed the first single from the new set, “Dani California.” Stadium Arcadium will be released May 9.
