ID10T Music Festival and Comic Conival 2017: Preview (June 24-25)

ID10T Music Festival and Comic Conival 2017 PosterStarting a new music and comedy festival is no easy feat. But with his hosting pedigree on the Nerdist Podcast and television shows @midnight and Talking Dead, Chris Hardwick found no shortage of music artists and comedians willing to perform at his newly minted ID10T Music Festival and Comic Conival this summer.

ID10T Fest will take place over the weekend of June 24-25, 2017 at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California. The festival features a main music stage and separate dance music and comedy tents.

Girl Talk, TV on the Radio, and Weezer headline the festival’s music portion. Additional artists performing on the main stage include Animal Collective, Car Seat Headrest, Crystal Castles, Lord Huron, The Mowgli’s, Mothers, OK Go, Robert DeLong, Ron Gallo, and Tank & the Bangas. Jai Wolf, Madeon, and Zeds Dead are among those helping to rock out attendees in the dance tent.

Demetri Martin, Garfunkel & Oates, Michael Che, Michael Ian Black, and Nikki Glaser headline the comedy portion. April Richardson will emcee the comedy tent.

Not to be outdone, ID10T Fest will also celebrate artisans and comic book artists and creators, an homage to San Francisco’s long departed Comic-Con sibling WonderCon. There will be panels for attendees to learn stuff. There will be autograph signings. There will be things to buy. There will be games and rides.

And of course, cosplay is very much welcome.

Tickets are currently on sale now. No word yet on programming information other than comedy and music.
