I’m back and way too tired to do anything of note. I will say this: it is a fine thing to spend time with all your far-flung children on Father’s Day – spent the day down in Columbus with the oldest and the youngest, and when the youngest and I got back I received a very warm greeting from the boyest, who is taking off for two weeks with his grandfather tomorrow on a tour of Midwestern Major League baseball stadiums. I did that about 20 years ago, and envy them.
I also came back to an embarrassingly sweet Dad Day tribute from this woman, who is way too hard on herself and way too kind to me.
I love all 4.4 of these people very much.
As an added bouns, on the way down to Columbus, I got to listen to the new Warren Zevon album twice – it’s really great, about all you could hope for, more tomorrow.
