Our very own Blogcritic Marty (a.k.a. Andrew Ian) Dodge and his merry band of rockers, Growing Old Disgracefully (G.o.D.) is poised to hit the studio and record their debut album, By the Grace of …, at Bracknell’s South Hill Park recording studio, and will be there on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th April.
Tracks to be included are “Waking Up,” “Whisky & Westminster,” “Soft Side,” “Shine” and “Movin In.”
Lead singer and spokesman for the band, Andrew Ian Dodge said, “We chose the studio because of the excellent recording facilities on offer for bands and the fact that they were able to cater to our requirements. We wouldn’t have thought of Bracknell but we looked at South Hill Park as a possibility except that John Harrison was keen to support and promote Bracknell facilities to the music industry.
“We are really looking forward to getting into the studio with our friends and laying down some of this stuff kicking around in our heads. We fully realise that we must expect the unexpected and just go with the flow. I am sure whatever we produce will be to the best of the abilities of all those involved. Our supporters deserve nothing less. It’s truly time for the entity known as G.o.D. to leave the cairn and make its mark on the world!”
