Though it’s not remarkably better than its predecessor, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris offers a fun four player, co-op experience that can’t be found elsewhere on the Playstation 4.

By using multiple points of view, the first episode of 'Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series' gives extra weight to each decision you make and makes this one of Telltale's best efforts yet.

Though it might seem a little light on action, Tales From the Borderlands seems like it's off to a good start with its first episode, Zer0 Sum.

Despite some minor graphical issues and its lack of compelling narrative, and for that matter, originality, 'Lords of the Fallen' is one of the better games I’ve played, this year.

Beginning to end, and with all of Sauron's Captains and War Chiefs lying dead at your feet in between, Shadow of Mordor is spectacularly fun. Better than that, it doesn't require a deep love or knowledge of Middle-Earth to make it enjoyable. It can, and does, stand all by itself.

'Defense Grid 2' is a terrific and addictive tower defense game that is slightly marred by a weak story.

While 'Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments' has a stunning level of presentation, it's just too short to compete with other premium releases.

"Destiny" is, when all is said and done, little more than a first person shooter. It tries to be more, but the non-FPS elements all end up feeling grafted on to the FPS experience as opposed to an intrinsic part of it.

So, how does it stack up to last year's version? Very well indeed, though perhaps not brilliantly.

Recently, two different hack-n-slash-esque titles have hit the market, and in a genre where titles can be seen as far too similar, these two offering couldn't be more different. I am looking at Sacred 3 and Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Edition. The former is available on the PS3, while the latter has (finally) made its way to the PS4.
