free itunes codes

Free iTunes codes are codes that can be entered at the iTunes Music Store to get free music. There are a variety of legitimate ways to get free free iTunes codes, but more often than not any sites boasting free iTunes codes are hoaxes.

Legitimate free iTunes Codes have come from giveaway partnerships, like the one Apple and Pepsi briefly formed. Also, TicketMaster has given away codes for free music downloads when fans buy select concert tickets.

iTunes is a software application developed by Apple Computers to play digital music. On April 28, 2003, the iTunes application came bundled with a music store that allowed customers to download individual music tracks from their favorite artists. At launch, the iTunes Music Store offered 200,000 titles for fans to choose from.

Before iTunes, the majority of music downloads came through file-sharing programs that were largely deemed to be violations of U.S. and international copyright laws. iTunes not only became the first digital music service to become financially successful, it became the #1 music retailer in the United States. Other companies have tried to get into the digital music retail market, but none have yet come close to Apple's sales figures.
