Famous Young Blondes Injured

Paris Hilton was rejected by a horse and Britney Spears danced into herself – is there a plot against famous young blondes?

Paris pummeled:

Paris Hilton was hospitalized Friday after a horse she was riding threw her off and kicked her in the stomach during the taping of “The Simple Life 2,” a reality show featuring the hotel heiress and a friend on a 30-day cross-country trip.

The kick to the stomach left her bruised, but she was not seriously injured, said St. Joseph’s Hospital spokeswoman Lisa Patterson. Hilton was released about three hours after she was brought in and was never admitted to the hospital, she said.

Battered but not broken – I’m glad she’s not seriously hurt. Much more here.

Britney bonked:

Britney Spears suffered a knee injury during her concert tour, forcing her to cancel a performance Friday night.

The singer hurt herself during a dance routine toward the end of her show Thursday night in Moline, Ill. Spears was singing one of her new songs, “Boom Boom,” according to “Entertainment Tonight.”

Minutes later, the syndicated television program reported, the 22-year-old pop star reappeared on stage in a white bathrobe and apologized to the audience for not being able to continue. She’d planned two more encore songs.

Spears’ label, Jive Records, said in a statement that she’d have to cancel Friday night’s concert at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill., in suburban Chicago. Ticket holders were told to keep their tickets until further notice. [AP]

She will also miss Sunday’s show in Detroit. Her tour will resume Tuesday in Atlanta.
