Dub Side of the Moon Live

Though it has received not one comment – tres peculiar – this review of the Easy Star All-Stars’ Dub Side of the Moon, an extremely successful reggae-based reworking of Dark Side of the Moon, has generated more Amazon sales than any other post we have ever run. Go figure.

Now the All-Stars are hitting the road – hey Amber, this is near you:

Greetings from the Easy Star crew.

The Easy Star All-Stars are playing live dates in support of Dub Side of the Moon. On Thursday, July 17th, the All-Stars will make their second live appearance in the last few years, performing 2 sets at Starr Hill Music Hall in Charlottesville, Virginia. That will be followed the next night at Canal Club in Richmond, Virginia. Lastly, on Saturday the 19th, the group will play alongside Inner Circle and Big Mountain at Norfolk, Virginia’s Reggae Solstice.

Jenny Hill (saxophone) and Kirsty Rock (vocals), who both appear on the record, will be along for the ride, as will Ruff Scott, who Easy Star loyalists remember from “What Goes Around,” the second 7″ single we ever released (still available in our online store).

If you don’t live anywhere near Virginia, keep your eyes open for news of the All-Stars coming your way. If you do live anywhere near the shows, look for tickets at the following websites:

    Charlottesville: https://starrhill.com/
    Richmond:
    Norfolk: http://festeventsva.org/festevents/reggae_river.htm

Also, look out for a new color version of the Dub Side of the Moon shirt, debuting at these shows, which will be available in our store before the end of the month. Plus, did you know there was a sale going on at easystar.com? That’s right, just type in the code “easystar” during checkout (you’ll see the box where they ask for it) and you’ll get 10% off your whole purchase (for a limited time). If you’ve been waiting to buy one of our cool girly tees or one of our CDs, now is the time to do it!

Have a great summer and keep playing Easy Star wherever you go!

    Peace,

    Easy Star

I would totally check this out were I in the area.
