chinese astrology

Astrology is the belief that human characteristics and behavior, and events, are effected or even controlled by the movement of the planets and stars.

Chinese astrology is grounded in a 12-year cycle, with each year in the cycle being named after a particular animal (successively rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog, and boar) and imbued with particular characteristics. They are, for example, associated with particular flowers.

You'll often find bloggers providing horoscopes for famous people.

It is often associated with the practice of feng shui, which aims to create a harmonious, healthy environment through the placement and arrangement of buildings and their contents.
