Some star-spangled treats for your Forth of July.

BC Music Goodie Bag: Jazmine Sullivan, My Education, Tami Chynn, Daniel Lowery, The Airborne Toxic Event, and Rick Springfield

Along with the grilled hotdogs, potato salad, and fireworks, BC Music Goodie Bag has some special treats for your Fourth of July. In this edition, we have streaming audio and video from Jazmine Sullivan, My Education, Tami Chynn, Daniel Lowery, The Airborne Toxic Event, and Rick Springfield. Also included are tour dates, quotes, and news. So crack open a cool beverage, take a short break from the summer sun, and listen to and watch the videos for these new singles.

Jazmine Sullivan – “Bust Your Window”
Since Sullivan is only 20 years old, you would probably wouldn’t believe she has nine years experience in this tough business. What she’s accomplished in that time, such as working with such artists as Stevie Wonder, is equally as impressive as her silky smooth voice.

In the Goodie Bag this week, you can watch a clip of a recording session with “Tricky” Stewart and listen to a clip of the song “Bust Your Window” on her MySpace Profile page.

My Education – Bad Vibrations
Sometimes it is all about the music. What My Education delivers with their new album, Bad Vibrations is songs without lyrics, but that doesn’t mean something is lacking. You don’t have to take my word for it, though. We have streaming and embedded audio and video here so you can see (and hear) for yourself what this band is all about.

Check out the audio streams to the following songs: “Sluts and Maniacs,” “Bad Vibrations,” and “Arch.”

We also have the embedded video for “Bad Vibrations”:

Tami Chynn – “Frozen”
Tami Chynn has just released the first single, “Frozen” from her upcoming SRC/Universal album Primadonna and we have a sneak peak for you right here.

The Kingston, Jamaica native had a long hard fight to get where she is today, including the sexist attitude of her home country. She uses her experiences to make music that will inspire young girls to become all that is possible. Recently, she spoke of her influences in making her major label debut. She says in a press release for the album, “My influences are very eclectic. If you browsed my iPod you’d get confused, but it all works really,”

You can listen to her new single, “Frozen” in either Quicktime or Windows Media format. For more information and news about Tami Chynn visit her official website or her MySpace Profile. She also has a YouTube Profile where you can check out official video releases.

Daniel Lowery – “I’m An American”
Timing is everything. Daniel Lowery has perfect timing as he is sharing with his fans and our readers audio and video streams of his patriotic single, “I’m an American.” The song is a tribute to this country’s troops and is delivered by this established crooner.

“I want this song to be an anthem,” says Lowery. “I want to send the message that we need to come together as a country and be as one and change the way things are going on here.”

At BC Music Goodie Bag, you can listen to the audio stream, watch the video stream, or watch it on YouTube. Lowery also has his own YouTube channel.

The Airborne Toxic Event – “Happiness Is Overrated”
The Airborne Toxic Event are a modern day Cinderella story, having found themselves, and a recent single – “Sometime Around Midnight” – added to regular rotation at KROQ. This was before they had a label, management, or promotion. You can hear “Sometime around Midnight” in streaming Windows Media format.

Check out a recent acoustic version of “Happiness is Overrated”:

Rick Springfield – “What’s Victoria’s Secret?”

Last August the characters Rick Springfield portrays on General Hospital fled Port Charles giving him the time needed to record his next album. Venus In Overdrive will be released July 29, but you can get a sneak preview of the lead single “What’s Victoria’s Secret?” and the title track “Venus in Overdrive” at his official MySpace Profile.

Springfield returns to General Hospital on July 8 for a short summer run. Noah Drake returns to town next week to deal with the fact he’s becoming a grandfather. The following week Rocker Eli Love (also portrayed by Springfield) will re-enter the canvas and is expected to treat viewers to a performance of “What’s Victoria’s Secret?” Faithful GH viewers can expect to see Noah butt heads with his stubborn son, Patrick and it is expected that the senior Dr. Drake will be in a battle with Eli Love to win the heart of Anna Devane.
