You've got your shows about cops and your shows about robbers, and never the twain shall meet, unless of course your show about cops follows your show about robbers (or vice versa), and then the twain shall meet every week.
You don't believe me? You should believe me, I'm not lying. I don't lie about such things.
Okay, you need an example, I get that, I understand where you're coming from. How about this – TNT on Wednesday nights. They have a show about cops, Dark Blue, and a show about robbers, Leverage. Leverage airs at 9pm and Dark Blue airs at 10pm. Thus, the twain have met, it's what we TV people call "flow."
Yes, it is true that your robbers in Leverage (led by the ever awesome Timothy Hutton) are the good guys who rob from the rich and give to the poor and your cops in Dark Blue (led by the ever eye-color-changing-depending-on-the-shirt-he's-wearing Dylan McDermott) may, depending on the time of day, be bad guys what with their going deep undercover to expose crooks, but that's really neither here nor there. Good or bad, bad or good, it's still a cops' show meeting a robbers' show. And you said it couldn't be done. For shame… for shame.
You know what's better than cops' shows and robbers' shows meeting on the television schedule (though that can be pretty good all by itself)? It's cops' shows and robbers' shows meeting in a single, easy, cheesy, lemon peasy giveaway. That's right, a giveaway much like the one I'm about to tell you about.
Blogcritics – with the help of the nice folks over at TNT who air Leverage and Dark Blue on Wednesday nights – is launching a Leverage/Dark Blue giveaway! We're giving away one copy of Leverage Season One on DVD and one, signed by the cast, Dark Blue poster! Both will go to a single, lucky, winner. Pretty sweet, right? And, do remember, both these shows air Wednesday nights on TNT (Leverage at 9 and Dark Blue at 10).
