Friday night’s (August 30) SmackDown aired live from Las Vegas, Nevada. It was the 731th SmackDown episode.
The show opened with The Miz interviewing Big Show and Dolph Ziggler at The Miz Show. The superstars discussed the happenings of the last Monday Night Raw, where Daniel Bryan was brutally beaten up by The Shield. The WWE locker room was left with no option but to watch him suffer.
The Miz was upset about how the management was running WWE. Then, while he was asking Show and Ziggler to express their opinions, WWE COO Triple H came out. He again tries to convince the WWE Universe that whatever he is doing is best for the business. He then praises WWE Champion Randy Orton and puts faith in him to sell out the arenas and thus, make more money for the company.
He then announces special plans for the show, where he books The Miz to face Orton and for Ziggler to face The Shield in a handicap match. He then orders Big Show to grab a chair, sit next to the announcers and watch the entire SmackDown episode.
