For their release, Meteora, Linkin Park used some of the tightest security known by any band to help prevent leaks to the internet - and it seems as if they pulled it off.
Interesting thinkings... I am co-guildmaster of The Musician's Guild here on the net, so I'm an avid music listener... Of course, I have my share of MP3's and CD's too... Probably 44+ CD's filled with MP3s and 150+ store bought Cds... The question is, of those 150+ cds I bought, how much money went to the actual artist who made the music?
Last fall, I mentioned a great new web site, Fight Cloud, and their innovative idea to promote new music by offering the CDs for "free" and giving the artists a 50% share in the sales. I was quite disappointed when I received this in my email today:
