Wilco is a band that has undergone a complete transformation of its musical mission since it was formed. Radiohead is the only other band that comes readily to mind as having had as extreme a transmogrification; while there are some parallels between the bands, Wilco's reinvention was perhaps even more dramatic, with more on the line.
Somewhere in the ether, below the comets and beyond the wall of sleep, is a sunsplash of sound known as Shoegaze.
